The bobcat is in the spotlight!
A quick post to share some exciting news! I was contacted last week by Renee Gannon of the Trustees from The Trustees of Reservations asking my permission to share my incredible encounter with the bobcat at Bullitt! Bullitt Reservation is one of the many properties that The Trustees of Reservations oversees throughout Massachusetts. An employee at The Trustees had seen my blog post and passed it along to her which set this all in motion. Of course it was my absolute pleasure to grant permission.

Sometimes, nature gifts us a moment so surreal it feels like a dream. That’s exactly what happened to photographer and storyteller Cheryl A. Patterson at Bullitt Reservation in Ashfield and Conway, where the wild and the wonderful thrive.
While wandering through the property in hopes of a repeat visit with a Barred Owl, Cheryl encountered something truly extraordinary—a Bobcat, poised and powerful, meeting her gaze with an uncanny stillness. In a rare and breathtaking moment, the two shared a quiet connection, a fleeting exchange between human and wild. With her camera in hand, she captured this once-in-a-lifetime experience, preserving the moment forever.
