Autumn morning in Ashfield
I made it out this morning… when I left home it was 42 degrees, no wind, no moon - and the sky was filled with stars. I arrived in Ashfield and immediately went in search of the crane family…I knew that it was very likely that the cranes had already left and started their fall journey but I wanted to give it a try. I went to the swamp, the fields, back to the swamp, back to the fields… no cranes. I am sorry that I missed seeing them one more time - I am already missing them…
I then decided to set up at the swamp and wait for the sun to rise… just before the sun came out I noticed some movement at the beaver den….
Just as the sun started to break through the trees behind me this guy decided to paddle towards me…
Seconds later this display of autumn’s beauty unfolded…
Down and to my right I saw this sweet little Junko…
To my left…
It was then time for me to pack up and head out because I wanted to photograph a sugar shack in Ashfield that I drive by on the way to the cranes.. Here it is…
Thank you all for your incredible love and support…
