Provence -Part 2

This is another early morning trip up to the top of Bonnieux.

It is time to come along with me….

Just breathtaking….

Then the fog lifts…

I started down from top following winding alleys to see where they would lead…

As soon as I took the shot above I had an amazing heartwarming experience… one that I will never, ever forget… I heard a noise behind me…. I thought could it be?? Could it be that someone is opening shutters? I turned my head to see that that was exactly what was happening!! Up on the second floor behind me , the shutters to a window were being opened to the morning sun’s first rays. I turned all the way around and looked up and made eye contact with a wonderful woman in the window - I asked permission by pointing to my camera to see if I could take her picture - she smiled to give me permission! Immediately I realized I was in exactly the wrong position to get the light!! So I looked up to her again and pointed with one finger to ask - could I have one moment to get in the right position? Once again she smiled… so I quickly moved to my right and snapped this very quickly so as not to take advantage of her generous spirit. As soon as I took this photo I put my hand over my heart to thank her - and she blew me a kiss!! Then she pulled her rug in and turned away to start her day. Every time I think of this moment it fills my heart…

Merci Beaucoup, Madame… I wish you good health and many happy days ahead…

And then I took a turn down a very steep and windy lane in search of poppies - and I scored!

After the poppies I decided I did need to get back… but I couldn’t pass by these without snapping away…

And then on one of my final turns I saw this sweetie! I could not have staged this shot any better…. what a morning!
