June blooms
Recently I spent time at the small, but stunning, flower garden behind the New London, NH library. During Covid Lorraine and I spent many evenings there in our lawn chairs while enjoying a nice take out meal from the New London Inn. We absolutely love this garden - the volunteers do a beautiful job of maintaining this garden.
Since many of us have been enduring many days of rain, clouds, and smoke filled skies, I thought you might enjoy seeing some color!

That same day Lorraine and I went for a ride ini the evening and we pulled over on the side of the road when we spotted this sleeping female merganser on a tiny pond! We think the underside feathers that you see curling up around her body from the bottom means that this is a juvenile. She was just so content… it was so peaceful watching her float so calmly along…
